The Business of Beauty: Are Injectables a Good Fit in Your Practice?

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Before committing time and financial resources to a treatment modality such as facial injectables, it’s important to know if these procedures suit your practice, your skills and especially your interests. This program provides an overview of current FDA-approved facial injectables and how they integrate with dental practice.

Course Objectives:
1. Discuss indications for Botox, dermal fillers and deoxycholic acid.
2. Describe how injectable products are used cosmetically and therapeutically.
3. Discuss the business implications and requirements for successful implementation.

PRESENTER:

Gigi Meinecke, RN, DMD, FAGD

Dr. Gigi Meinecke has been active in the field of facial injectables since 2004. In addition to teaching injectables nationally, Dr. Meinecke developed the Facial Injectable Program at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine and served as the program director for 6 years. She maintains a faculty position at BUSDM. In addition, Dr. Meinecke is a head and neck anatomy pro-sector and provides litigation support in the form of expert witness within the injectable domain.

Her publications include “Leading with the Chin-Facial Rejuvenation of the Lower Third,” “Applications for Facial Injectables in Dentistry,” “Lower Face Influence on Total Facial Esthetics,” and “Why Lip Injections Look Fake and How You Can Create Natural Looking Lips.” She is author of the book, “Start and Grow Your Cosmetic Injectable Practice.”

Dr. Meinecke maintains a private practice limited to facial injectables in Potomac, Maryland.
